Princeo Brooks
Princeo Brooks, 42, was remembered by his sister, Nadia Ross, as someone who was always smiling. He loved music and his family, and he was devoted to his 10-year-old son, Kendrick. He was held at Greensville Correctional Center in Jarratt, Virginia, and died early on November 11, 2025. The Virginia Department of Corrections said his cellmate attacked him, and that staff found the cellmate on top of him just after 3 a.m.; he was pronounced dead at a hospital at about 4:30 a.m. CBS 6 sources described the attack as brutal and said it may have been preventable with full evening staffing, and the case is under review for possible presentation to the local prosecutor, while his family said the department notified them but would not answer their questions about how he died.
