Phillip Deangelo White, 29, of Kokomo, died on October 31, 2025, in a cell at the Howard County Jail in Kokomo, Indiana. The sheriff's office said officers found him unconscious and unresponsive in his cell, and he was pronounced dead at 5:48 p.m. The Howard County Coroner's Office said his cause of death is consistent with asphyxia due to hanging, and Indiana State Police and the coroner are investigating. The sheriff's office said no foul play is suspected, and an autopsy was scheduled for November 3.
