Penny Annette Rector
Penny Annette Rector, 51, was held at the Campbell County Jail in Tennessee. She became ill with a medical emergency on a Thursday evening and was taken to a hospital, where the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says she died the next morning. A 911 caller reported that she was having a GI bleed. The TBI is investigating at the request of the district attorney, and her body has been sent for autopsy, so the cause and manner of death have not been determined. One report gives August 24, 2026 as the date of death, while the others give August 21.
