Paul R. Metcalf
Paul R. Metcalf, 61, died on November 6, 2025, after being held at the Union County jail in North Carolina. The Union County Sheriff's Office says he died by suicide. According to the sheriff's office, detention officers found him unresponsive in his cell in the early hours of that day, and staff and EMS briefly restored a pulse before he was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
