Paul Pellini
Paul Pellini, 54, was a nurse anesthetist and nurse practitioner and a founding member of East Coast Pain Specialists, where he practiced anesthesia and interventional pain management. He died on June 28, 2025, while held at Central Prison in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he had been moved from the Currituck County Jail as a safekeeper. He was found dead outside his cell, and the state Department of Adult Correction said the death was an apparent suicide. State Capital Police are investigating, as is standard for in-custody deaths.
