Paul George Abeyta
Paul George Abeyta, 50, died on May 1, 2020, in his cell at the Jefferson County jail, where he had been housed in a medical unit. The sheriff's office said deputies found him unresponsive during a routine check at 5:15 a.m., and that he was pronounced dead just after 6 a.m. The sheriff's office said an investigation is ongoing and that the coroner will determine the cause and manner of death.
