Paul Ezra Rhoades
Paul Ezra Rhoades was executed on February 3, 2012, at the Idaho Maximum Security Institution, after many years on death row, according to the Idaho Department of Correction. A last-minute court motion delayed the procedure at dawn, but a judge denied it and the execution went ahead. Before his death he said goodbye to his mother, who was in another room, and told prison staff he forgave them. He asked the families of the victims to keep looking for answers in the other cases, and members of the press and a former prosecutor witnessed the execution while supporters and opponents of the death penalty gathered outside the prison.
