Paul Douglass, 40, died on February 10, 2022, after being taken to Ben Taub Hospital from the Joint Processing Center, a jail in Harris County, Texas, where he was pronounced dead. According to a release, he was found unresponsive in a padded cell with apparent self-inflicted injuries, and the manner of death was still pending. The Houston Police Department, the Sheriff's Office Internal Affairs Division and the Texas Commission on Jail Standards were involved. An autopsy was being performed to determine the cause and manner of death.
