Paul Clift
Paul Clift, 36, of Key West, was found hanging at the Stock Island jail in the Florida Keys in March 2024 and was flown to a hospital in Miami-Dade County, where he died. Before his return to custody, he had been released by mistake because of a court paperwork error. The county clerk acknowledged that staff had put instructions on the wrong line of a court form. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office said he hanged himself.
