Died in jail or a lockup
Patrick McCann
Patrick McCann, a 51-year-old man from Barrington, died on September 23, 2022, while held at the Lake County Jail in Waukegan. According to the Lake County Coroner's Office, he was found unresponsive on his bed in a cell in Pod 1 East. The coroner's autopsy reported underlying medical conditions and no significant injuries, but the cause and manner of death remain pending toxicology testing. The Major Crime Task Force is conducting an independent investigation.
