Died in jail or a lockup
Patrick MacDonald
Patrick MacDonald, 33, of Columbus, died on September 28, 2020, at the Delaware County Jail in Ohio, where he had been held for about four days. The manner of death was listed as suicide. The Columbus Dispatch reported that he had passed the jail's self-harm screening questions. The paper also reported that his death happened in the same way as an earlier suicide at the jail, and that it prompted the jail to seek a stronger grate design.
