Patrick E. Vaughn
Patrick Vaughn, 29, of Pontiac, died on Sunday, December 28, 2025, while held at Pontiac Correctional Center. The Livingston County Coroner's Office said he was found unresponsive in his cell in the north cell house that evening and pronounced him dead at 6:07 p.m. The Illinois Department of Corrections reported his death to state authorities as a suicide, while the coroner's office had not determined the cause or manner and scheduled an autopsy for December 30. The coroner's office said no foul play is suspected, and the coroner, prison officials and Illinois State Police are investigating the death.
