Patricia Kay Michaelis
Patricia Kay Michaelis, 47, died on August 23, 2025, while held at the Laramie County Detention Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The Laramie County Sheriff's Office said staff found her unresponsive during a routine check and tried CPR before Cheyenne Fire Rescue pronounced her dead at the scene. The sheriff's office said she died in a holding cell. The Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation was asked to investigate, and the sheriff's office said the cause of death is not yet known.
