Paige Godwin, 39, died on August 25, 2022, while held at the Purgatory Correctional Facility in Hurricane, Washington County. Washington County Sheriff Nate Brooksby said her death may have been caused by an unknown medical issue. The medical examiner and a county critical incident task force are investigating the death. Her family has been notified.
