Omar Ornelas
Omar Ornelas, 25, of San Marcos, died on April 27, 2022, while held at the George Bailey Detention Facility in San Diego. The San Diego County Sheriff's Department said staff found him unresponsive during a security check. The cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy by the county Medical Examiner's Office, and the sheriff's Homicide Unit is investigating. According to Patch, a second person found in the same cell was revived with naloxone and taken to a hospital.
