Olivia Martinez, 42, was held at the Denver jail when she died at Denver Health Medical Center on June 23, 2021. Deputies found her unresponsive in a downtown jail housing unit around 10:45 p.m., and she died at the hospital that night. The Denver Sheriff Department said she was not being monitored for COVID-19 symptoms. The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner is investigating, and the cause and manner of her death remain pending.
