Oliver Reilly
Oliver Reilly was held in the jail at Salida, Colorado, in February 1891, after a shooting at a railroad coal chute in which a railroad conductor named Sullivan was killed. According to the Delaware Gazette and State Journal, a mob broke into the jail, took Reilly from custody, and hanged him at a railroad crossing without giving him a chance to speak. The report says the sheriff or officers were overpowered, and it reports no charges against anyone in the mob.
