Nolan Conner Deason
Nolan Conner Deason, 33, was held at Fountain Correctional Facility in Atmore, Alabama, and was due to finish his sentence about a month after he died. The Equal Justice Initiative, citing multiple reports, says he was chased around an open dormitory and fatally assaulted on the night of November 4, 2024. According to those reports, no officers were in the dorm at the time, and staff found him dead in a bathroom in the early hours of November 5. EJI says he had been assaulted several times after arriving at the prison in mid-October.
