Niqua Thomas
Niqua Thomas died on July 26, 2018, while held at Georgia State Prison in Reidsville, Georgia. The Georgia Department of Corrections said correctional officers found him unresponsive in his cell that evening. Prison medical staff performed CPR, and emergency medical services continued until he was pronounced dead at 6:40 p.m. The department said it is investigating his death as an apparent suicide.
