Nicole Smith
Nicole Smith, a woman held at the Cobb County Jail in Georgia, died in May 2022 after being taken from the jail to a hospital. The Cobb County Sheriff's Office said she attempted suicide during a welfare check and was pronounced dead at the hospital, and officials said she was apparently on suicide watch with deputies checking on her every 15 minutes. Her death was the third at the jail in about a month, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating.
