Nick Vedol Lopez
Nick V. Lopez, 55, was held at North Kern State Prison in Delano, California, when, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, three other incarcerated people attacked him in a recreation yard on November 10, 2024. Paramedics pronounced him dead at 8:51 p.m. CDCR is investigating the death as a homicide. A KBAK report says he was stabbed, a detail the Kern County Coroner's Office has not confirmed, and the coroner will determine the cause of death.
