Nicholas W. Tejeda
Nicholas W. Tejeda, 57, was held at East Jersey State Prison in Avenel, New Jersey, when he died on April 26, 2015. According to the New Jersey Department of Corrections, he was found unresponsive in his cell on the night of that Sunday, and a facility doctor pronounced him dead about 30 minutes later. The department has not released further details, and its own investigation and an autopsy by the county medical examiner are pending. The cause and manner of his death have not been determined.
