Died in jail or a lockup
Nicholas Giampa
Nicholas Giampa, 24, died on August 22, 2024, while held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center in Virginia, where he was awaiting trial. According to the Fairfax County Police Department, he was found unresponsive in his cell early that morning and was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police said they do not suspect foul play and are investigating, and no cause or manner of death has been announced. One report said he had been held at the jail since 2018.
