Ngan Tran
Ngan Tran was the father of two children with his girlfriend, Tuyen Nguyen, who said he had written that he couldn't wait to see her. He was found hanged in his cell at the Jackson County Jail on April 10, 2002. A man who had been held at the jail said he saw officers beat Tran for days and refuse him medical help, and Nguyen doubts he took his own life. The sheriff's office and the FBI opened investigations.
