Nelly Boo died at the St. Louis City Justice Center on August 10, 2022, according to a coalition of civil rights advocates and legal groups, including ArchCity Defenders, cited in a KSDK report published September 14, 2022. The coalition said Nelly Boo's death was the sixth at the jail since April. The report gives no cause of death for Nelly Boo. Nelly Boo was held at the jail when they died.
