Nathaniel Washington
Nathaniel Washington died on August 19, 2020, while held at the Hughes Unit, a Texas Department of Criminal Justice prison in Gatesville. He was 56 years old. He had tested positive for COVID-19 and was taken to a local hospital, where he died. An autopsy found that COVID-19 was the immediate cause of death, though he also had several pre-existing conditions.
