Nathan Jacob Dunson
Nathan Jacob Dunson, 33, of Cottonwood, died on September 18, 2026, while held at the Yavapai County Camp Verde Detention Center in the custody of the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office. According to the sheriff's office, he had been housed in a single-occupancy medical cell, and a detention deputy called medical personnel after opening the cell, but he was pronounced dead despite their efforts. No cause of death has been announced, and the Yavapai County Medical Examiner's Office is investigating.
