Nathan Benedict Dogskin
Nathan Benedict Dogskin, 45, was held at the Grand Forks County Correctional Center in Grand Forks, North Dakota, and died on April 22, 2017. According to a state corrections review cited by the Grand Forks Herald, staff did not move him to a padded cell or send him to the hospital when a nurse advised it. The review found he had been lying on his cell floor for about a day before being taken to Altru Hospital. The state corrections department later issued a noncompliance order against the jail, which was given 18 months to comply.
