Nathan Arthur Webster, 46, of Redding, California, died in his cell at the Shasta County Jail on September 14, 2025. According to the Shasta County Sheriff's Office, correctional deputies found him during a routine welfare check. The Shasta County Coroner's Office identified him after family notification, and it has not yet stated a cause or manner of death. The Major Crimes Unit, the Redding Police Department and the coroner's office are investigating.
