Naajikhan Powell, 23, died on September 11, 2020, while held at the Hennepin County Adult Detention Center in Hennepin County, Minnesota. A news report lists the cause of death as suicide. A later FOX 9 Minneapolis-St. Paul report says Powell died by hanging at the Hennepin County Jail after being brought there from a hospital psychiatric unit.
