died 1894

Myers was held in the custody of officers who were transporting him by train when a mob took him from them and hanged him from a nearby telegraph pole. The San Francisco Call, in an August 13, 1895 article, dates the killing to about a year earlier, in 1894. The paper says that afterward a constable hid another prisoner to guard against a repeat of the mob's action.
