Mose Henderson
Mose Henderson, a Black man, was held in the DeWitt jail in Arkansas in December 1891. The Madison Daily Leader reported on December 23, 1891, that about fifteen or twenty masked men entered the jail and shot him and two other men held there. The paper said a report that the men would be released on bond had prompted the killing, and that the mob left no clue to its identity. The Appeal, in a January 1892 column, also reported that the three men were taken from the jail and shot to death by a mob.
