Monte Young
Monte Young, 46, was held at Halawa Correctional Facility in Hawaii, where he was serving a sentence, when he died in 2009. According to a court record reported by Hawaii News Now, he was punched multiple times in the prison recreation yard. Another man held at the facility, James Gouveia, pleaded guilty to assault in his death and was sentenced to five more years in prison.
