Molton Brasseaux
Molton Brasseaux was hanged at the Beauregard Parish jail in DeRidder, Louisiana, in 1928, alongside Joe Genna, in what was the first double execution in the parish. According to Gary Crowe, Police Jury president, the two men were hanged from a gallows built over the jail's spiral staircase, with the sheriff, deputies, coroner and several jurors present. Crowe describes the hanging as the jail's best-known event, and a reenactment of it is being filmed for a documentary and jail tour. The KPLC 7 News report says the location of Brasseaux's burial has never been discovered.
