Mohammed Afzal
Mohammed Afzal, 68, was held at the Milwaukee County Jail, where he had been diagnosed with a terminal illness. According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, he had several stays in the jail's infirmary and was taken to a hospital on Wednesday, where he died on Friday night, June 16, 2023. The sheriff's office said his family was able to visit him before he died. The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department is leading the investigation into the death because he was in custody.
