Miranda Joiner, 30, died on December 7, 2025, while held at the Winnebago County Jail in Illinois. She was found unresponsive in her cell and was pronounced dead at a hospital later that night. According to the Winnebago County Coroner's Office, an autopsy attributed her death to cardiac arrhythmia caused by left ventricular hypertrophy, and in July 2026 the Winnebago County State's Attorney announced that no criminal charges would be filed.
