Milton Yates
Milton Yates, 35, worked as a dishwasher at Black Fig catering, where his employer, Mark Suber, described him as a hard worker and said, "He was a great guy." Yates died at the Leon County Detention Facility in Tallahassee in late November or early December 2021. Correctional officers found him unresponsive in his cell, and doctors pronounced him dead from hanging. The Leon County Sheriff's Office says he died by suicide and is investigating his death. The Tallahassee Democrat reported it as one of three hanging suicides at the jail in a year.
