Mikheal Gilliam
Mikheal Gilliam, 28, was held at Elmore Correctional Facility, a state prison in Alabama. According to the Equal Justice Initiative, which cited multiple reports it received, he was stabbed in a dormitory at the facility on October 26, 2024. He was taken to a hospital, where he died of his injuries. The Alabama Department of Corrections has not publicly identified a suspect in his case.
