Miguel Tijirena
Miguel Tijirena, 25, died on February 16, 1905, while held in the Pleasanton jail in Atascosa County, Texas. Sheriff A. M. Avent said he hanged himself with a towel tied to the bars of his cell and called the death a suicide. According to the sheriff's account, other people held at the jail saw him first and raised the alarm, and he was cut down but died shortly afterward.
