Miguel Ángel García Medina

Miguel Ángel García Medina, 31, was born in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, and had lived in the Dallas area for nearly two decades, where he painted and remodeled homes. His wife, Stephany Gauffeny, described him as funny and a very present father, and he was planning to open his own painting company. He was shot in a government van outside an ICE field office in Dallas, after being taken into immigration custody. He died five days later of his gunshot wounds, and the reported manner of death is homicide.
