Micheal Montrell Norwood
Michael Montrell Norwood, 29, died on April 2, 2018, at the Mississippi State Penitentiary at Parchman, where he was held in custody. According to the Mississippi Department of Corrections, he was found unresponsive in his single cell and pronounced dead at 6:17 a.m. The department said it is investigating, and prison officials said his death appears unrelated to another death at the facility that day.
