Michael Vonzell Jones
Michael Vonzell Jones, 62, died on June 2, 2024, at St. Francis Hospital after being held at the Sedgwick County Detention Facility in Kansas. The Sedgwick County Jail said he had been housed in the medical infirmary for pre-existing medical issues. On a Friday, EMS took him to the hospital, where his condition continued to decline until he was pronounced dead. The jail said the cause of death is unknown pending an autopsy, and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation and the sheriff's investigations division were notified.
