Michael Torbicki, Jr.
Michael Torbicki, Jr., 45, died on December 11, 2017, at Macdougall-Walker Correctional Institution in Suffield, Connecticut. The state Department of Correction said he died by apparent suicide after staff found him in his cell with an object around his neck during a routine check, and he was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He had been placed on suicide watch after arriving at the prison in October. His lawyer says he was supposed to be on a court-ordered suicide watch at the time of his death.
