Michael Shaffer
Michael Shaffer, 44, died on October 23, 2022, at SCI Houtzdale, a state prison in Clearfield County, where he was held in the custody of the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections. According to a press release from the prison, he was found unresponsive in his cell that afternoon. The Department of Corrections reported his death to the state as a suicide, while State Police and the Clearfield County coroner's office are investigating the cause of death.
