Michael S. Abboud, 36, died on March 18, 2017, while held at the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office jail in Missouri. The sheriff's office said people held alongside him alerted correction officers, and that he was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The sheriff's office said a preliminary review of video showed no sign of trauma, but that the cause of death had not been determined and could take weeks. The sheriff's office is investigating his death.
