Michael Poirier
Michael A. Poirier, 56, worked as a helper in the prison kitchen at Arizona State Prison Complex-Eyman in Florence, Arizona. The Arizona Department of Corrections said that during a routine security check on May 16, 2019, corrections staff found him hanging in his housing unit with a cloth tied around his neck. Paramedics pronounced him dead at 3:28 a.m. The department said the death appears to be a suicide, and the county medical examiner is investigating.
