Michael Piotrowski
Michael Piotrowski was 39 and the father of four. His mother, Andrea Piotrowski, said they were very close and that he stopped by nearly every day. He died in April 2015, within a day of being held at the Macomb County Jail in Michigan. An internal jail investigation attributed his death to intoxication from multiple prescription medications, and other people held there raised the alarm. His family's attorney said jail staff should have noticed he was in danger and given him medical attention.
