Michael Olson, 30, of Texarkana, Texas, died on March 21, 2022, after leaving the Bowie County Jail Annex, where he was in custody. Officials said officers from Texarkana, Arkansas, found him and another man, and that during a struggle over an officer's handgun, an officer shot him. The Miller County prosecutor ruled the shooting justifiable. Arkansas State Police are investigating the use of deadly force.
