Michael Moede
Michael Moede lived with his brother John in the town of Ward, Todd County, Minnesota. According to a St. Paul Pioneer-Press special from St. Cloud, reprinted in the Northern Ohio Journal in November 1879, he was in the custody of officers when citizens took him from them and hanged him. His death is recorded as a lynching carried out by a mob.
Cause of death, as reported: Taken from custody and lynched. The St. Paul Pioneer-Press special from St. Cloud reports that enraged citizens took Michael Moede from the custody of authorities and hanged him.
