Michael McKinnis
Michael McKinnis, 61, was found dead in his cell at the Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility in Philadelphia in September 2024, a week after another death at the jail. A guard arrived to serve him breakfast and found him. Bolts reports that he was on medication for liver disease and had been left alone for eight hours overnight, and it links that to chronic staffing shortages at the facility.
